WoodSmith Rising

‘WoodSmith Rising’
Based off an old much simpler design, that I am still very much in love with. A couple years ago I was honoured with a neat vision of what seemed to me to be something of a family crest. The image to me, spoke of lineage, ancestry, and somehow seemed very much related to me. To me this piece is about honouring our roots. Remembering where we come from, and not just on a physical level but on a spiritual level as well. I believe all our lineages reach way back to times when we were all thriving cultures at one point void of the shame and darkness that is present in many today. I see a time when we were proud of who we were for reasons of integrity, high spiritual values, and a healthy relation to the earth and our communities. Rather than proudness of the ego and competitive pride.
This piece reminds me that it’s never too late to bring honour back to our names and create a new way based off the lessons from the past.

This piece is full of some of the most special woods to me, and certain woods represent some very special people in my life. I cant stop finding all kinds of cool images within the piece.

This piece is available
24″x14″ in dimension
All natural wood colours, no stains as usual.
